A2K-SBN-1 4 WAY SMALL BOAT NETWORK
A complete NMEA 2000® backbone in a single device.
Installing small NMEA 2000 networks is quicker and easier than it’s ever been with the Small Boat Network (SBN) from Actisense.
The equivalent of four T-pieces in a single case provides a significant time and space saving with no more connecting multiple T-pieces together. Termination resistors are built in which increases the saving on time and space.
Once the attached 3 metre cable is connected to the boats power supply, an NMEA 2000 network for up to four devices is ready to use, taking ‘plug & play’ to the next level.
A2K-SBN-2 8 WAY SMALL BOAT NETWORK
A complete NMEA 2000® backbone in a single device.
Installing small NMEA 2000 networks is quicker and easier than it’s ever been with the Self-contained Boat Network (SBN) from Actisense.
Connect up to eight NMEA 2000® devices using the SBN-2. With the equivalent of eight T-pieces in a single case, you’re provided with significant time and space-saving solution, no longer needing to connect multiple T-pieces together. Termination resistors are also built-in, which increases the saving on time and space. Once the attached 3-metre cable is connected to the boat’s power supply, your NMEA 2000® network for up to eight devices is ready to use, taking ‘plug & play’ to the next level.
To create a similar NMEA 2000® network, you would have needed all of these individual components for a network with 8 drops:
x2 A2K-TER Micro terminator
x1 A2K-MPT-1
x2 A2K-4WT Micro 4-way T piece
Now, you can achieve a network with x8 drops with a single SBN-2.
A2K-4WD NMEA 2000 4-WAY INSTRUMENT DROP
Reduce your NMEA 2000 cabling requirements, saving time, space and money.
The Actisense 4-way drop makes it easier to reach up to four devices with a single cable.
Typically, when four devices need to be connected to an NMEA 2000 backbone, a T-piece and individual cable is required for each one. This can either mean excessive cabling demands or moving the backbone closer to your devices.
The 4-way drop makes it possible to shorten the length of each cable needed before reaching a T-piece.
A2K-4WT 4-WAY T-PIECE
The four-way t-piece from Actisense saves you time, space and money on your NMEA 2000 installation.
The Actisense 4 Way T-Piece is for use where multiple drops or ‘ports’ are required from the NMEA 2000® backbone. It’s as quick and easy to install as a single T-piece, uses less space than two individual T-pieces and costs less than four.
A2K-T-MFF MICRO T-PIECE
Quality engineered connectors shaped to allow easy and secure connections.
Two female and one male connector allow easy connected to Actisense NMEA 2000 Lite cable assemblies even when field fit connectors are used, making it a totally unique T-piece.
The Actisense NMEA 2000 T piece is for use where a drop or 'port' is required from the NMEA 2000 backbone to connect another device.
Part number: A2K-T-MFF
A2K-FFC FIELD FIT CONNECTORS
Field fit connectors allow full customisation of your NMEA 2000 network cabling.
Male and female variants, as well as right angle options for each, provide full flexibility and make it easy to install cable around tight bends, meaning your network can be fully customised.
Actisense Field Fit Connectors allow for secure, reliable connections in any NMEA 2000® installation using Lite cable. The glands inside the connectors tighten around the cable as they are screwed together to maintain watertight integrity.
The Field Fit Connectors allow cables to be cut to any length resulting in less excess. Right angled options mean cables can be fitted at any angle to allow ease of installation from the desired entry point.
Product codes:
A2K-FFC-SF - Straight female
A2K-FFC-SM - Straight male
A2K-FFC-RF - Right angle female
A2K-FFC-RM - Right angle male
A2K-TER MICRO TERMINATION RESISTORS
For use at each end of every NMEA 2000 ‘backbone’.
Actisense terminators are exceptionally robust to withstand the harsh conditions of the marine environment and have been designed for quick and easy installation.
Each NMEA 2000 installation must have precisely two termination resistors installed, one at each end of the backbone, to ensure proper operation and signal integrity.
Available in both male and female versions:
A2K-TER-F NMEA 2000 micro terminator female
A2K-TER-M NMEA 2000 micro terminator male
A2K-TER-U SMART UNIVERSAL MICRO TERMINATOR
Introducing the world’s first intelligent universal in-line terminator.
Terminate your NMEA 2000 network – regardless whether a male or female connection is required – and use the TER-U’s smart functionality to easily diagnose any power or voltage issues on your NMEA 2000 bus.
The TER-U can be fitted directly at the end of your network or used as an in-line terminator in difficult to access locations.
The TER-U acts as an intelligent diagnostic terminator which provides instant feedback as to the state of the NMEA 2000 bus onboard. It is also a universal terminator which can be used as an in-line terminator or else as either a Male or Female terminator, as it comes supplied with blanking caps.
It has a built-in high accuracy voltage monitoring circuit which continuously monitors the bus voltage, and will illuminate its internal LEDs when it detects that the bus voltage is of the correct polarity. If it detects that the voltage is within the minimum required range, it will indicate ‘GREEN’ immediately, providing continuous valuable feedback as to the state of the bus.
If the voltage falls below the minimum required level of 9.0V, then the LED’s will illuminate ‘RED’, showing there is a potential problem with the NMEA 2000 bus power. Similarly, if the LED’s do not illuminate at all, this would indicate that there was no power or that the polarity was incorrect. This monitoring function happens continuously and remains permanent.
Because these terminators are illuminated, they instantly provide feedback that the terminator is actually present (i.e. able to identify that there are two terminators present) – especially helpful in difficult-to-reach locations.
This smart universal micro-terminator can be used as either a male or female terminator or even as a feed through terminator for applications at the top of masts, making it truly universal.

A2K-TDC TRUNK AND DROP LITE CABLE
Pre-assembled NMEA 2000 Lite cable saves you time on your installation with ‘plug & play’ installation.
Available in various lengths, the cable assemblies can be used as either drop cable from an NMEA 2000 backbone or to extend the length of the backbone cable.
Actisense Lite cable assemblies allow quick installation and come with a quality reassurance, as only the Actisense UL certified cable is used.
NMEA 2000 cable includes five wires within a single waterproof cable: power and ground wires, two signal (data) wires and a drain wire. The drain wire connects to the cable shield which protects the signal, power and ground wires from external Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and helps reduce RFI emission from the cable.
The maximum permitted length of a drop cable (distance from the backbone) is 6 metres.

A2K-BULK-100M Lite Bulk Cable Reel
Create or extend an NMEA 2000 backbone of flexible lengths to suit any installation.
The Actisense NMEA 2000 Bulk Lite cable is available in 100 metre reels and ideal for use with the Actisense QNB-1 Quick Network Block or Field Fit Connectors (FFC).
NMEA 2000 cable includes five wire within a single waterproof cable: power and ground wires, two signal (data) wires and a drain wire. The drain wire connects to the cable shield which protects the signal, power and ground wires from external Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and helps reduce RFI emission from the cable.
NMEA 2000 Lite cable can be used to create a backbone up to 100 metres in length. If the backbone length required exceeds 100 metres, the centre of the bus can be extended with NMEA 2000 mini cable to keep the outer Lite sections to the 100-metre maximum.
The maximum permitted length of a drop cable (distance from the backbone) is 6 metres. It is important to limit each drop length to the minimum required as the total of all drop lengths must not exceed 72 metres. To help with this limitation, Actisense have drop cable assemblies in varying lengths from 0.25 metres to 6 metres.
